Ferrari announce Phil Hanson as an official Ferrari Driver ahead of the 2026 season. The Italian manufacturer sign Phil on a multi-year deal that will see him race in the WEC Hypercar category at the helm of the 83 AF Corse entered 499p Ferrari that saw him win the 24hours of Le Mans in 2025. 

Phil Hanson wrote his name into motorsport history by winning the 93rd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with AF Corse in the No. 83 Ferrari 499P. Sharing the car with Robert Kubica and Yifei Ye, Hanson helped secure victory by just 14 seconds after 24 hours of hard fought competition, delivering Ferrari a third consecutive Le Mans win since returning to the top class.

Hanson secures maiden WEC hypercar podium at the opening round of the 2025 WEC season. The race also marked his debut with new team AF Corse. Hanson and his teammates went on to secure a 2nd place finish as part of a historic 1-2-3 finish for Ferrari.

Phil Hanson secured his first overall IMSA WeatherTech Championship podium with a standout drive at Indianapolis. Taking over the No. 85 Porsche in sixth place with just over an hour to run, Hanson carved his way forward with decisive passes after the restart to claim a podium finish in GTP.

After a strong qualifying Phil Hanson took the start from 4th on the grid and critically highest qualified Porsche. In the opening hour of the race Hanson’s put the No. 85 Porsche firmly into the lead after 3 decisive moves across the opening stint handing the car over to teammates in the lead. Unfortunately, a large penalty later in the race dropped the car down the order finishing 13th.

Alongside his WEC commitments, Phil Hanson was announced with JDC-Miller Motorsports for the five longer format endurance rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship in GTP. The programme marked Hanson’s first competitive campaign in IMSA’s top prototype category, expanding his 2024 schedule across both sides of the Atlantic.

Two victories from the two-race ELMS races capped off a landmark achievement for Phil Hanson, who reached 11 overall wins in the championship — the most in series history. A dominant wet-weather opening stint in the second of the two final races saw Hanson build a commanding lead before handing over to his teammates who brought the number 22 car home for their 3rd race win of the season, securing 2nd in the championship.

After another impressive qualifying performance from Phil Hanson, the No. 22 crew converted pole position into a second-place finish at Fuji. The result moved the car back into championship contention, leaving Japan second in the standings after misfortune at Le Mans had lost the crew the championship lead.

Hanson becomes European champion in a podium sweep of the 2020 European Le Mans Series. The United Autosport duo of Phil and teammate Filipe Albuquerque went on to secure 5 podiums in 5 races with 3 wins took the LMP2 field by storm to be crowned champions in dominant fashion.

Phil Hanson wins the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 category at 21 years old. Phil brought the number 22 United Autosport Oreca across the line to win after a high stakes final stint being chased down by the 38 Jota.

Hanson scored his maiden WEC class victory in LMP2. The 4th round of the 2019/20 WEC season.

Phil Hanson secured his first overall European Le Mans Series win after a chaotic wet weather race. It was the first landmark result in what would become a record-breaking ELMS career.
